This privacy policy describes what kind of personal data Christineborg Guesthouse collects and how this personal data is processed.
Christineborg Guesthouse complies with the Norwegian Personal Data Act. This privacy policy has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Personal Data Act, sections 18 and 19.

What do we mean by personal data
Personal data is information about an individual, such as name, address, place of work, marital status, telephone number, e-mail address, etc. Information about your contact, reason for contact and form of contact with Christineborg Guesthouse can also be understood as personal data.
Sensitive personal data is neither collected nor used by Christineborg Guesthouse. This includes information about charges, criminal acts, health and the like.

Who is responsible for processing your personal data at Christineborg Guesthouse?
Christineborg Guesthouse's general manager is responsible for the company's processing of personal data. If the tasks are delegated, responsibility will still always lie with Christineborg Guesthouse.

Personal data received by Christineborg Guesthouse
Based on section 8 of the Personal Data Act, Christineborg Guesthouse har two sources of personal data:
1. Information provided by yourself, for example through the contact form on Christineborg Guesthouse's website. Filling out such a form is voluntary, and collected personal data may include telephone number, email and name. In addition, additional personal information may be generated through email, telephone and similar correspondence between Christineborg Guesthouse and you as a customer.

2. Information collected through Google Analytics. This tool registers, among others, how long you stay on the site, IP address, which links you click on, and the number of visitors at different times.

How Christineborg Guesthouse uses personal data
The purpose of the contact form and subsequent correspondence is to follow up on requests and obligations to customers. Christineborg Guesthouse depends on this open platform to ensure good communication and a positive customer experience.

The Google Analytics information is used to improve the functionality of the website. This can, for example, contribute to better user experiences, understand user trends and prevent criminal activity such as hacking.
The legal basis for Christineborg Guesthouse's processing of personal data is the Personal Data Act, Section 11.

How to manage your own personal data
Christineborg Guesthouse collects a limited amount of personal data compared to many other services. Therefore, specific management tools such as personalized advertising or user apps are not applicable. Personal data is only used for the purposes described above. You still have rights related to your personal data, as explained below.

Information shared with third parties
Christineborg Guesthouse does not share personal data with third parties. Should there be a need for such sharing, we will always collect your consent.

Secure filing, deletion and internal control
All personal data Christineborg Guesthouse receives is stored securely in accordance with the Personal Data Act, Section 13. Personal data is stored either on a secure email server or other secure server for as long as the customer relationship lasts. Upon termination, all personal data is deleted within two years.
Internal control ensures that the security and handling of personal data is in line with legal standards.
Your rights
As a user or customer, you have the right to be deleted, to data portability, to access, and to object to profiling:

Right to deletion: You can request that Christineborg Guesthouse deletes all personal data registered about you.

Right to data portability: You have the right to receive a digital copy of your personal data and transfer it to another company if desired.

Right to access: You can request to see what information Christineborg Guesthouse has registered about you.

Right to object to profiling: This means that you can refuse Christineborg Guesthouse to map your use and behaviour. However, Christineborg Guesthouse does not use extensive mapping for purposes such as personalized advertising.

Children's privacy
Christineborg Guesthouse does not collect or process personal data about children under the age of 16. Should such information be registered, it will be deleted as soon as we become aware of it.
Data Protection Officer
Christineborg Guesthouse does not need a data protection officer, as we do not process sensitive information or conduct systematic mapping of personal data.
Implementation of changes
Christineborg Guesthouse will update the privacy policy when necessary to ensure that it complies with applicable laws and regulations. You will be informed of such updates.
